Sun ray....a haven minutes from High Beeches

The Forest of Dean covers 35 square miles and was formerly a royal hunting forest. For centuries it was valued for its resources of iron, coal, stone and timber. Today it is a place of few crowds and much peace, with the largest area of old oak trees in Britain. It came to the UKs Forestry Commission in 1924. To Dennis Potter, the playwright, who was born and grew up in the forest, it was more than just a heart-shaped area on a map; for him the beauty and magic of the landscape also captured his heart - as the Royal Forest & High Beeches will yours too!

    Timeless Tranquility

Nestling high above the rich woodlands of the Royal Forest of Dean, High Beeches is a large detached home which has been lovingly developed to provide complete comfort and perfect privacy. Standing in established gardens, with panoramic views towards the evocative hills and moutains of Wales, it is a world apart from the hustle and bustle of city life - the ideal place for rest, relaxation, reflection or perchance romance. 1000ft above the Wye Valley its location is unique in this borderland between England and Wales.

Within 15 minutes of High Beeches is one of England's most celebrated views, the River Wye seen from Symonds Yat Rock. Here the Wye makes sweeping meanders against the towering limestone cliffs of the Royal Forest of Dean, before plunging through a dramatic gorge all the way to the Severn estuary.

Enjoy a BBQ, which sits inside a purpose-built wishing well in the garden, or a sundowner on the terrace and watch Wales - and the occasional peregrine falcon flying overhead!
